MY MONSTER SCRAPBOOK: NINE TIMES MORE SUSPENSEFUL...

In his review, the great (and occasionally ascerbic) L.A. TIMES movie critic Kevin Thomas, acknowledged that young director Dario Argento had made "something of a splash" with his previous film, THE BIRD WITH THE CRYSTAL PLUMAGE."

With that he dropped the gong on CAT O' NINE TAILS. Citing lousy dubbing as the main culprit, he went on to say that the movie was slow, and, I'll say it for him, boring.
