This issue of MONSTERS AND HEROES highlights Ivie's fondness for the pulps of yesteryear and movie serials. Along with old-time radio shows, these are the recurring themes of the magazine. Monsters are present, but the heroes section of the 'zine was usually more expansive. No problem, though, as readers who may have not been as aware of these adventuresome genres were surely given every opportunity to find out.
